This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to paid ticket and registration purchases made through MissOut (the "Platform"), operated by Intrct Technologies under the MissOut brand. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Free registrations (no payment) are not covered by this Policy except where an organiser cancels an event and chooses to notify registrants.
Tickets and paid registrations are sold by the Event Organiser (for example, a college committee or festival team). MissOut provides registration and ticketing technology. For many events, you pay the organiser directly via UPI; MissOut is not the recipient of the ticket price in that mode. When gateway checkout is enabled, payment may be collected through MissOut's payment partner. Your agreement to attend is with the organiser, not MissOut.
Organisers may publish additional refund, cancellation, or postponement rules on the event page or at checkout. If those rules conflict with this Policy for a specific event, the event-specific rules control for that event. Review them before you pay.
Unless stated otherwise on the event page, paid tickets and registrations are non-cancellable and non-refundable. This includes if you cannot attend, arrive late, change your plans, or are dissatisfied with lineup, venue, or event experience.
MissOut does not offer platform-level refunds for event quality or experience. Contact the organiser directly for those matters.
If an organiser cancels an event and MissOut verifies the cancellation, we will initiate a full refund of the total amount you paid for that purchase, including ticket or registration price, platform fee, payment processing charges, and applicable taxes shown at checkout.
For gateway events, refunds may be processed through our payment partner to your original payment method where applicable. For direct-UPI events, the organiser refunds you (typically to your UPI or bank account) and may mark the order refunded in MissOut. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs you incur related to a cancelled event.
If an event is postponed or the venue changes, your options (including whether your ticket remains valid or a refund is available) are determined by the organiser's policy as shown on the event page. MissOut does not impose a default postponement refund rule.
After MissOut initiates an approved refund, it typically appears within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank, card issuer, or UPI provider. We cannot control processing times after the refund is sent to the payment network.
If you were charged but did not receive a confirmation email or registration, contact us at info@missout.in with your payment reference. If we confirm that the order failed or was duplicated, we will refund the eligible amount to your original payment method using the same general timing in Section 6.
If a ticket price or availability was clearly posted in error, we or the organiser may cancel the order and refund the amount you paid. We are not liable for incidental costs (such as travel) arising from such errors.
Contact info@missout.in before filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. Unauthorised or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension and recovery of amounts where permitted by law.
All prices and refunds are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless an event explicitly states otherwise.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material updates may be communicated by email or in-app notice. Purchases are governed by the Policy in effect at the time of payment, except where law requires otherwise.
