About the event

Umang is the annual inter-collegiate festival hosted by the students of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, India, held since 2000. The festival has grown from strength to strength over the past 26 years. The festival currently in its 27th year has seen over 100 colleges participating and a footfall of over 20,000 annually. The festival which caters to all kinds of talent all over India organizes around 90-100 events every year. Umang, has over the years seen celebrities like Shabana Azmi, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Arjun Rampal, Sivamani, Dilip Chhabbaria, Isha Koppikar, Maureen Wadia, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Vir Das, Imran Khan, Ranveer Singh, Javed Akhtar, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and many others. Umang over the year has also witnessed performances by various artists like Kailash Kher, Indian Ocean, Strings, KK, Parikrama, Lucky All, Shaan, Euphoria, Prime Circle (South Africa's leading band), Shaa'ir n Func, Dominique and Clinton Cerejo, Avial, Suraj Jagan, Benny Dayal and others.
